MarineQuest Scientific Diver (Ages 15-17)

Are you a SCUBA enthusiast who loves marine science? If you are, the MarineQuest Scientific Diver program ia a great fit for you!

FISH ID & PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY: Strengthen your diving technique while learning about the organisms that inhabit North Carolina's local waters. Improve your bouyancy control to be a better diver while completing an eLearning Peak Performance Buoyancy course and applying what you learn underwater. Learn how to identify different fish species and how to efficiently count individuals while earning your Fish Identification specialty through PADI. Deepend your understanding and knowledge of fishes while studying them in UNCW teaching labs.

ADVANCED CERTIFICATION: Expand yhou SCUBA diving skills by completing your PADI Advanced Certification. Participants will complete the Advanced Open Water (AAAOW) eLearning. Students will have the opportunity to compare diving in freshwater and saltwater to earn their Underwater Naturalist specialty as well as the required specialties to earn the AOW certification. Test out your skills at the Hyde Dive and other open water areas.
